Discovery & planning
For Slime Universe, we began by analyzing how customers—mainly younger shoppers and parents—discover, browse, and purchase slime products online. The planning phase focused on understanding product variations, color categories, bundles, textures, and add-on accessories that needed to be represented clearly in the store. We mapped user journeys from exploring the latest releases to selecting options and completing checkout, while also identifying the operational needs for managing inventory, orders, reviews, and promotional campaigns. This foundation guided the structure of a scalable MEAN-stack architecture designed to support fast browsing, playful branding, and consistent growth for a high-volume e-commerce experience.

Design & development
The platform was built using Angular to deliver a smooth, app-like shopping experience with instant navigation, dynamic filtering, and highly visual product cards. The design reflects the playful, colorful nature of the brand while remaining clean and intuitive for all age groups. Product pages include variations, scent/texture options, detailed descriptions, and recommended add-ons to increase cart value. A secure and optimized checkout flow simplifies the purchasing process. On the backend, Node.js and Express power a robust API connected to MongoDB for real-time product data, stock handling, order processing, promotions, and user accounts. A custom admin dashboard enables full control over products, collections, banners, media, and fulfillment operations.

Testing & optimization
We conducted comprehensive testing to ensure reliability across all customer interactions—category browsing, product selection, cart behavior, checkout completion, and order tracking. Performance optimization included lazy loading, caching, optimized image delivery, and database indexing to maintain fast load times even with a growing catalog. Security was reinforced with JWT authentication, sanitized API inputs, protected admin routes, and rate limiting. Mobile behavior, responsiveness, accessibility, and overall UX were validated on multiple devices to ensure a consistently smooth shopping experience. Final optimization included SEO groundwork, analytics integration, and error monitoring setup.
